Terms of Use and License

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Tidemark on Windows PCs you own or control.

Tidemark Pro is a one-time purchase. One Tidemark Pro license key may be active on up to 3 PCs at a time. You can move it by deactivating a PC in Settings › Tidemark Pro and activating another. A license doesn’t expire. It includes updates to Tidemark released through the Microsoft Store for as long as we offer them; we may offer future major features separately, but we won’t take away Pro features you’ve paid for in the version you have.

You may not: share or resell license keys; circumvent, disable or tamper with the license check; reverse engineer Tidemark except where the law allows it despite this restriction; or use Tidemark to break the law.

2. Your files and what Tidemark does to them

Tidemark is designed to be careful:

• It shows you what it will remove before it removes anything.
• Removals go to the Windows Recycle Bin, so you can restore them, except where Windows itself warns that an item is too large for the Recycle Bin.
• Limits never touch files changed in the last 24 hours.
• System items are handled only by Microsoft’s own tools, with a Windows permission prompt each time.
• “Share one copy” replaces duplicate AI model files with NTFS hard links after re-checking that they are identical.
• Uninstall runs the program’s own uninstaller as registered with Windows; what it removes is up to that program.
• Stopping an AI tool force-closes its processes, so unsaved work in that tool is lost.

You decide what to remove, and you are responsible for reviewing what you select. Keep backups of important data. Emptying the Recycle Bin, running Windows’ cleanup tools and similar actions can be permanent.

3. No warranty

Tidemark is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that Tidemark is error-free or that its size figures, forecasts, alerts or recommendations are always accurate or complete.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of Tidemark. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tidemark is limited to the amount you paid for Tidemark Pro in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 9.99 if you paid nothing). Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived.

5. Purchases and refunds

Tidemark Pro is sold by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which processes payment, collects applicable taxes and issues your receipt. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, its license key is disabled.

6. Termination

These terms apply until ended. They end automatically if you breach them; then you must stop using Tidemark Pro, and we may disable your license key. Sections 2 to 4 and 7 survive.

7. General

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This doesn’t take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws where you live. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; the version in effect when you buy Tidemark Pro governs that purchase.
